Name: Kai Wenslydale Sexuality: Bi though lately he's tended to be asexual Age: 30 Character’s Job: DJ at Captivations, musician, particularly violin player (also knows piano and guitar, and composes) Description: Kai looks Asian, Japanese in particular. He has a pale, almost ghostly complexion, longish nose and a mouth which smiles more easily than others might think at first. His hair colour is naturally a rich, reddish brown. He isn't tall for a man, standing about 5'9". Weighing 130 to 140lbs, he's lean muscle without fat. He prefers casual clothing, choosing either black or dark neutrals generally but he will wear almost any colour when the mood takes him and he feels colourful fairly often, which works well with his current phase of being a DJ. But Kai doesn't need clothes to make a statement; he'd rather let music do that. Personality: Kai seems to be a serene personality, ethereal and not aggressive. His tendency is to be private, "cloaked" if you will, when he first meets someone. He isn't anti-social but he retains his privacy. He habitually observes strangers with a careful eye. Character Background: Kai was born on September 15 but he never knew his real parents. He was orphaned not long after being born. Kai was adopted by a couple residing in London when he was 15 months old and the parents divorced about two years after taking the child. Kai grew up in a literary world and he displayed artistic talents mostly centered on music. He could sketch but his piano playing was brilliant and his violin sweet. As he grew, living in a Georgian house and attending a British public school, he found the most happiness playing music, whether alone or in various orchestras. His father, Gabriel, fell for an American woman when Kai was 14. They moved to San Francisco to live with her. Here Kai completed high schooling but he didn't immediately go to college. Rather, he began to play violin for the orchestra in San Francisco. This was a happy time for him. Life changes and the tides of change took him to London again, where he lived with a man and a woman for eleven years, involved in a three-way with them. Once that ended, he remained in England and began an 'oblique' career in music by DJing at clubs and private parties. Thus he found his way to Captivations.
